Overview of the Joulebody SipNChew Cleanse

Hello world!
I created this review blog because I was having trouble finding reviews of the Joulebody Cleanse.  I've wanted to try a cleanse for awhile now, and when I saw the $219 deal for a 5 day food and juice combo cleanse on Ruelala, it sounded great.  I don't even step into a restaurant without yelping it first, so I was cautious to read any Joulebody reviews I could find.  Unfortunately, most of the posts were sponsored.  I decided to go for anyway.

This is the cleanse I did:
https://joulebody.com/order-sip-n-chew-cleanse-online

INCLUDES:
  • Six meals daily, labeled with the day and time you should consume each one
  • 900 - 1100 calories daily
  • Specially formulated Detox Matcha Tea
  • Instructions for pre- and post-cleansing and access to healthy recipes
  • Customer support to help you continue your healthy lifestyle

MEAL PLAN PHILOSOPHY:
  • Vegan, non-GMO, organic, gluten and nut-free
  • Alkaline-based whole foods to restore your body’s balance
  • 33 superfood ingredients scientifically proven to help you lose weight, boost your energy, and improve your health
  • Plant-based biodegradable containers

HOW IT WORKS:
  • Choose a date that works best for your schedule.
  • We will send you a confirmation email and instructions on how to prepare for your cleanse.

The meals/drinks are shipped from Manhattan for either Tuesday or Thursday deliveries.

My overall impression of the cleanse was: EVERYTHING TASTES TERRIBLE!  I'll go into more detail on another post, but truly, everything aside from the mediocre fresh food was disgusting.  On top of the gross tasting juices and skimpy mediocre food, the bars were a ridiculous 350 calories a piece, and you are allotted two of them during the day.  That's 700 calories that you could spend on something nutritious: you could eat an entire steak with butter, vegetables and a complex carbohydrate instead of a tasteless calorie-packed piece of driftwood.  During the whole five day cleanse, I only managed to eat two of them out of 10.

Verdict: I DO NOT recommend this cleanse.
